Investment advice

8 February 2006 by kristarella

I got this email from my hubby last night – It was funny reading the first line as I had just hung up the phone after leaving a message at home that I would be going to the pub for not a beer because I was driving. He hadn’t gotten home to receive the message when I got this…

On the topic of beer:

Subject: Investment advice

In 2001 if you had bought $1000 of One-Tel shares, it would now be worth
about $9 to you as an unsecured creditor if you’re lucky.

In 2002 if you had bought HIH shares, you would have about $6.50 left of
the original $1000

In 2003 if you had gone to the US and bought ENRON you would have less
than $5 left.

But, if you had purchased $1000 worth of beer only one year ago, drank
all the beer, then turned in the cans for the aluminium recycling
price, you would have $24

Based on the above, the best investment advice is to drink regularly and
recycle.
