Oh gosh! Just as I’d convinced myself that my timetable was good and it was going to be a good semester of classes I got an email saying I’d been accepted to a course that I’d applied to do without having done the prerequisite. I’d spoken to the course co-ordinator last week and she said she wouldn’t let me do it. I got all excited and thought I would be able to do it and I was going to be this amazing student. They even enrolled me in the course before they emailed me which meant I was overloaded (had more units than one should in one semester). I went to speak to them and the co-ordinator said the same thing she did on the phone – that I’d be making it difficult for myself trying to do the third year and second year course at the same time. So I decided to not do it and leave it ’til next year. I’m a little disappointed so I should stop writing and thinking about it before I go into a depressed stupor.
Lately I’ve had alot of trouble being angered way too easily and getting upset at little things or nothing at all and crying all the time. It’s not cool but I’ve been alright today.
I was a bit silly. Yesterday I convinced myself that because BIOC2101 (Principles of Biochem) laboratory wasn’t on, that meant BIOC3151 (Human Genetics) lab wouldn’t be on. Even though I’d already been to a lecture for genetics saying that it was on. So I’ve left my genetics lab book at home. Doh! Hopefully the exercises are not actually in there and I can just use a pen and blank paper… Ooh – it’s okay, I found the lab manual on the website so I can print off just the two pages for today!
I’m going to sell my old text books! I’ve always had a thing about keeping things like that but I barely looked at them when I was doing the course and I haven’t looked at most of them since. I think it would more useful to buy newer biochemistry text books rather than keep my old biology, chemistry and physics ones. I’ve looked up all the new prices and I’ll possibly make a call on what is fair considering the condition of the books. The ones I bought new are bound to be nearly perfect because I’ve hardly used them but ones I got second hand might have been dodgy to begin with.
I’m hungry – lunch time… My lunch (left overs from last night) has been stinking out my bag in a big way. Condensation from the container being in the fridge made my diary and notebook soggy =( I’ll be glad to heat it up (shouldn’t smell so gross then) and eat it and get rid of the container.
Oh and I didn’t get a chance to put the song of the week up but I will do it!
