The Candy Store

28 January 2006 by kristarella

Oooh, speaking of my Utili-key’s swanky tin box reminded my of The Candy Store in Leura. It’s five minutes down from Katoomba and it has lots of lollies! Many of which you can’t get in Australia, or can only get in very few places. I really wanted to get Rhesus Cups but they only had white chocolate ones so I settled for Peanut Butter M&Ms. I also got sour Pez and sour apple Altoids and Runts. I love Runts! They are my favourite lollies ever. The ones I got were the chewy variety that I’d never seen before but they were quite similar to the regular ones so that was good. Unfortunately I only bought one packet, have to see if I can find them closer than two hours drive away.

Heh – you might not have caught onto my train of thought there, the reason the tin box reminded me of the candy store is because Altoids come in tin boxes 😛

It’s so weird for me to see it spelled Rhesus cups. Probably almost as weird for you to see it spelled as Reese’s Cups.:)

Heh, yeh – we don’t really get them here in except in specialty stores so it’s actually weird to see them at all! I’ve only ever seen it spelt Rhesus… However there are more hits on google for Reese’s so perhaps I should spell it that way.

Had a great Saturday at the GKR Karate State Title Had a great Saturday at the GKR Karate State Titles! I was a sub for @jamesxuereb.me in the Blue Flame Dragons thanks to his sprained ankle; we won first round and came fourth overall!
I did a bunch of judging and officiating, which was really good.
I didn’t place in my individual events, but had a very fun final round of kumite (sparring).
